Teacher Ed Division Program Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a Program Coordinator to join our team and provide support for individuals who want to enroll and/or are enrolled in our teacher education programs through our partner schools.  This energetic individual will be responsible for the oversight of recruitment, funneling prospective students through the application process, continued engagement of students in the program, and aiding alumni efforts through networking and other events. 

Responsibilities

  • Marketing and Recruitment: The selected candidate will work closely with the Marketing division to identify and recruit individuals who may be interested in CITE’s Teacher Education programs, including attending networking events.
  • Prospective Student Management: The selected individual will be the initial contact person for all program recruitment activities and “prospect” (individuals interested in programs) management, helping them through the application process.
  • “Funnel” Administration: The ideal candidate will work to coordinate the program’s logistical operations including completion of student applications and subsequent acceptance and enrollment in their desired program.
  • Program Management: The ideal candidate will maintain regular communication with the College and students and monitor student progress throughout the program.
  • Alumni support: The candidate will support alumni efforts through assisting the team with online and in person events. 

Requirements and skills

  • Preferred Education, Experience and Background:  A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred; experience as a Program Coordinator or commensurate role is desired, but not required; outstanding communication skills (written, verbal and public); marketing / sales experience; web application experience including social media fluency and basic website maintenance preferred; an understanding of the field of higher education would be beneficial. Teaching experience in NYC is a plus. 
  • Preferred Skills: 
    • Although this position is a full-time, in-person position located in Brooklyn (50 Court Street), the selected candidate must be willing to visit site locations and offices and co-host Company sponsored events in the Metropolitan area when necessary.
    • Excellent computer literacy including Excel, Word, Google Suite and an understanding of professional standard telephone and email etiquette. Sales experience a plus, including use of contact management systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  1. Salary:  Salary will be commensurate with background and experience with a starting point of $60,000 + performance-based increases and bonus.
  2. Benefits: Competitive benefits package including fully covered health plan and matching retirement contributions; includes paid parking when reporting to the downtown Brooklyn office.
  3. Compensated, weekend work may be occasionally required.
